MODEL V

Creation Workshop

Creation Workshop is a software program for slicing and controlling SLA, DLP, and LCD 3D printers. It is recommended for use with MODEL V, unless you are using NanoDLP, which requires additional hardware. You can download a copy of Creation Workshop here, pre-configured with machine settings, the mask, and example resin profiles.

NOTE: The resin profiles pre-loaded in the Creation Workshop software or the Wi-Fi box can be outdated. All up-to-date resin profiles are here.

New resin and new thickness profiles are always being tested by our engineers and we will also take inputs from all MODEL V users and make adjustments on the profiles. Neither the CW software nor the NanoDLP on the WiFi box will be updated automatically.

NOTE: Each printer may be slightly different in curing efficiency. So you may need to do some test printings and adjust the cure time around the recommended cure time to find the most optimal settings for your printer.

ChiTu DLP Slicer

ChiTu DLP Slicer offers great support generation capabilities. It's very simple and easy to use. You can use this software to prepare your stl. model, change size and orientation, lay flat on any chosen surface, add support structures and export the model with the support structures. You can then use Creation Workshop or NanoDLP to print your model.

Autodesk Print Studio

Like ChiTu DLP Slicer, Print Studio is Autodesk's print preparation software. Print Studio keeps your production moving by analyzing, fixing and preparing your 3D files. You can use Print Studio to prepare your stl. model, change size and orientation, add support structures and export the model with the support structures. You can then use Creation Workshop or NanoDLP to print your model with support structures generated by Print Studio.

Autodesk Meshmixer

Meshmixer is state-of-the-art software for working with triangle meshes. Meshmixer is known for its advanced mesh editing functions and automatic support structure generating function. You can use Meshmixer to prepare your stl. model, change size and orientation, add support structures and export the model with the support structures. You can then use Creation Workshop or NanoDLP to print your model with support structures generated by Print Meshmixer.

FlashPrint

FlashPrint provides a simple and easy to use user interface for preparing your 3D designs for printing on the Flashforge 3D printers. You can use FlashPrint to generate support structures and export the supported model as stl. files, then use Creation Workshop or NanoDLP to print on a MODEL V printer.

User Manual

Mask Profile

Both Creation Workshop and NanoDLP allow users to configure a mask profile to create a uniform even output across the entire LCD panel. You can download the pre-configured universal Mask profile for Creation Workshop or NanoDLP here (Rotate 90 degree when used on NanoDLP).

NOTE that each printer can be slightly different due to certain manufacturing processes. This Mask profile should provide at least 90% uniformity on all MODEL V printers.

Additionally, you can use our MaskCreator and its software to measure your printer's LCD output and create a custom mask profile that fits much better.

Latest Firmware

You can download the most recent firmware here. All firmware file is in hex. format. Use the XAYAV Firmware Uploader included in the Zip file to upload the firmware to your MODEL V.

Serial Monitor

MODEL V will send confirmation messages, sensor data, and status codes back during normal operation or debug. A Serial Monitor is not required for normal operating. However, you will need it to see the feedback from your MODEL V to identify an issue or malfunctions.

Due to the MODEL V uses a full-speed USB 2.0 protocol instead of a low-speed UART protocol to establish communication to your PC. Creation Workshop's serial monitor is unable to display the messages from MODEL V. For Creation Workshop users, this Serial Monitor is required for you to see the messages from your MODEL V.

For NanoDLP users, if you are using XAYAV Wi-Fi BOX or other devices based on a Raspberry Pi, you will not need this Serial Monitor as the NanoDLP will receive and display all the messages from the MODEL V with no problem.

You can either use Arduino Serial Monitor or download this Serial port terminal.

You can download the Arduino IDE here.

THE Wi-Fi BOX

THE Wi-Fi BOX

Download & Install NanoDLP

THE Wi-Fi BOX uses a Raspberry Pi 3 B single board computer to host NanoDLP and control the printer. To install NanoDLP, please visit NanoDLP website, go to DOWNLOAD and then follow instruction under "Installing nanoDLP on Raspberry Pi."

You still need to properly configure the network settings, machine settings, and resin settings before printing. Please refer to our TUTORIAL pages for more information about how to setup your XAYAV Wi-Fi BOX and NanoDLP.

Raspberry Pi Config File

Download this pre-configured config file and use it for your Wi-Fi BOX for the correct display settings. Rename the file to 'config.txt'.

Machine & Resin Profiles

Download the machine profiles or resin profiles here and upload it to NanoDLP.

Also, the profiles are a benchmark, each printer can vary slightly. Find the right settings for your machine by adjusting slightly around the profiles online.

NOTE: Each printer may be slightly different in curing efficiency. So you may need to do some test printings and adjust the cure time around the recommended cure time to find the most optimal settings for your printer.

MaskCreator

MaskCreator Software

Download this software for your XAYAV MaskCreator. You can use this software to create Mask profiles for Creation Workshop and NanoDLP. Please refer to the TUTORIAL pages if you have any question about how to use MaskCreator or this software.

Also download the driver here: https://www.silabs.com/products/development-tools/software/usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers

Note: The MaskCreator software currently only working on Windows 7/8/8.1/10.
